  • cultivate and manage one’s digital identity and reputation and be aware of the permanence of one’s actions in the digital world;

  • engage in positive, safe, responsible, and respectful behavior when interacting with online content or socializing with others;

  • respect legal and ethical principles when using and sharing intellectual property;

  • take action to stand up for causes and people in need.

  • leverage digital tools to document and reflect on their learning process;

  • actively identify and explore real-world issues and problems, asking deeper questions, evaluating information, and pursuing answers and solutions;

  • know and use the design cycle for generating ideas, testing theories, and creating innovative artifacts;

  • exhibit a tolerance for ambiguity, perseverance, and the capacity to work with open-ended problems, taking risks, and welcoming failure as an opportunity.

  • use collaborative technologies to work with others, including peers, experts or community members, to examine issues and problems from multiple viewpoints;

  • contribute constructively to project teams, assuming various roles, and responsibilities to work effectively toward a common goal.

  • engage in inquiry and self-directed learning, driven by curiosity and the desire to build on passions and personal interests;

  • have an active role in planning, designing, and demonstrating one’s own learning;

  • engage with a network of mentors and innovative education opportunities in order to explore a multitude of experiences, building on interests, and developing skills along the way.
